Accommodation:

If you feel you need a break from the 28 hours of gaming waiting for you at NeoLAN, feel free to book a room with the Century Plaza Hotel to rest your eyes a bit on a comfy bed, instead of the hard floor of the venue. We've personally made an agreement with Century Plaza Hotel to provide discounts for everyone if more than 5 rooms are rented. Room rates start at $149.00 (plus tax), or $139.00 with the discount. You can make reservations online at http://www.century-plaza.com/reservations.html. Be sure to mention you're with "NeoLAN" when you make the reservation so they can factor in the discount for you. *Remember if you have friends coming to NeoLAN, you can always split the cost of the room together.

Note: When registering online for NeoLAN, please indicate if you would be booking a hotel room because that will give the hotel an idea of how many rooms will be required, and hopefully with enough rooms they can give the group (including you) a discount.

  • Food and Drink:

We will be providing everyone with lunch on Saturday and again on Sunday. There will be pizza, cookies, yogurt, granola bars, juice and pop - enough for everyone, but seconds won't be allowed. You will have to hunt for your other meals/snacks for the rest of the event.

Small snacks will be allowed, but don't expect to get in with a plate of spaghetti. There are plenty of restaurants in the area to eat at, including at the hotel. Keep the food in the restaurant. Make sure any food or drinks you bring into the venue will be handled appropriately and not damage any equipment.

    Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking

Alcohol, illegal drugs, or smoking is NOT permitted inside the venue. If want to drink (and are over 19), do it at the hotel bar or at other nearby locations. If you want to smoke, do that outside the hotel too. Please note that anyone coming back into the event inebriated will risk the chance of being kicked out by NeoLAN staff members if we perceive it to be a risk to other attendees and the event itself.

    Parking:

There's parking at the Century Plaza Hotel for approximately $10-12 for the entire day. There is also nearby parking lots and street parking located on Burrard St.

    Your Belongings/Valuables:

We will have a designated area within the venue where you can leave your personal belongings with us for the duration of the event. Identification tags will be attached to your belongings and stored in a locked room. You can access it anytime during the event, but we will need to see your event pass for verification. Items you are allowed to store are:
    1. packaging for your own computer equipment (There will be a limit for this as determined by NeoStaff upon arrival, so please use good judgment).
    2. (1) sleeping bag
    3. (1) backpack
The cost for the checking in your personal belongings at the event is $1/person for the items listed above. This is on a first come first serve basis due to the limited capacity of the room. If we do run out of room, you can also check your belongings with the hotel though access is much more limited there.

Note: We reserve the right to inspect your personal belongings you bring to the event, in your presence, to ensure the safety of yourself as well as others attending the event.

    Seating:

If you are attending the event with friends or people you want to play with, please give us the name of your group when you register online so we can arrange to have you sit together at NeoLAN. Groups will be assigned seats before singles who will be seated in real-time. Only people who do early register online will have this opportunity.

Everyone will be given assigned seating before the event, and no one will be allowed to trade/change once they are seated. So please come early if you want a good seat at the event! You don't want to be seating at the very back when all the action is at the front!

    Spectators/Guests:

Due to security reasons and the limitations of the venue, spectators or guests are not allowed in the event room. Only people signed up for NeoLAN and who brought a computer are allowed! People who sign up but don't bring a computer won't be allowed inside.

    What to Bring:
